BETTER THAN MOST
Better Than Most is a regular feature of The Business of Giving examining the best places to work among social good businesses and nonprofit organizations. We go inside the offices of these institutions so you can hear directly from the executive team and staff as to what makes their corporate culture so special and unique.
Tonight we’ll be going up to Boston to visit a pioneering venture philanthropy organization by the name of New Profit. We’ll begin with a brief description of what they do and then you’ll hear why members of the team find it to be such a special place to work.
For this edition, we make our way up to Truman Avenue in Yonkers, New York and to the headquarters of Consumer Reports. We will begin with their President and CEO, Marta Tellado and then you will hear from some of the other members of the team.
This evening, you’ll be going up to Bronxville, New York and to the offices of One Love Foundation. We will begin with their Chief Executive Officer, Katie Hood and then we’ll hear from some of the other members from the team.
And for this edition of Better Than Most, youll be going to Cambridge and to the headquarters of iCivics. We will start with their Executive Director, Louise Dubé and then hear from some of the members of the team.
For this edition, we find ourselves on Atlantic Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts and at the headquarters of The Barr Foundation. We’ll begin with their president, Jim Canales, and then hear from some of the other members of the staff.
And for this edition, we took a trip off to Massachusettes and to the campus of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. We’ll begin with their President and Director, Mark Abbot and then you will hear from some of the other members of the team.
And tonight we’ll be coming to you from our nation’s capital and the headquarters of American Red Cross. We’re going to begin with Business of Giving’s Faith Gail McGovern, their President and CEO. And then you will hear from some other members of the team.
This evening, we’ll be making our way down to Arlington, Virginia and the headquarters of PBS, the Public Broadcasting Service, tremendous pride and dedication to the mission as you will hear from members of the PBS team.
And this evening, we’ll all be taking a trip to Washington, D.C., and to the headquarters of World Wildlife Fund. Well begin the segment with their President and CEO, Carter Roberts and then hear from some members of the staff.
In this evening, we will be taking a trip to 433 California Street in San Francisco to meet with some of the employees at Education Superhighway. They’re removing the roadblocks to high-speed and high-capacity internet for America’s schools and paving the way for digital learning in every classroom.
Tonight we will venture out to San Francisco, and to the offices of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, EFF. They are the leading non-profit organization defending civil liberties in the digital world. We’ll begin with their Executive Director,
Cindy Cohn and then hear from some other members of the staff.
Tonight we will be going to San Francisco and to the offices of Universal Giving, an award-winning website to help people give and volunteer with top-performing projects around the world and where one hundred percent of each donation goes directly to the cause. We’ll start with their Founder and CEO, Pamela Holly and then hear from a couple other members of the team.
